It's the Beginning....

of I don't know if it is winter, or spring weather.  I suppose since it is almost March, we are in for it!

Today I have a card I created for the By Lori Designs Challenge #6.  I LOVE these colour challenges!  The colours are always combos I wouldn't think to work with!

For my card I used Puddle Jumper Mary Jane, who Lori designed for Claudia & Company.  I used Photoshop CS to cut out the heart, making it larger and allowing it to fit in Mary Jane's hands!  I then printed her out on Choice Snow White cardstock, and colored her in with my copics.  The heart is covered with a few coats of Clear Glaze to make it stand out!  I cut her out using my nestabilities and then paper pieced around the edge.  The designer paper is all from SU!  These challenges are definitely helping me use up the hoards of paper in my stash!

I finished it off with a bit of Pacific Point ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies
Stamps - Puddle Jumper Mary Jane
Paper - Pacific Point, Slumber Party DSP, Pacific Point DSP, Bali Breeze DSP, Choice Snow White
Other - Copics, Nestabilities, Clear Glaze, Ribbon

Double Challenge Saturday!

Good Morning!

Today I have a card I made for two challenges!

I used this weeks MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #8, and turned it into a Christmas card!  I LOVE how this turned out, and I'll definitely be using this sketch again in the future!

For my card, I chose the sentiment from Sending You a Little Christmas.  I thought this would pair up perfectly with the Hearts A Plenty Die-namic, and some snowflakes.  Of course, an MFT Challenge card (or almost any card I make!) isn't complete without the MFT Open Scallop DIe-namic either!

I started by stamping the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black onto the oval panel of the Layered Label Die-namic (LOVE THIS!).  Then I added some Rhinestones to the panel to give it some depth.

I used paper from Bo Bunny Winter Joy, paired with Basic Black and Bermuda Bay cardstock.

This card is also for March's MFT Guest Designer Challenge over on the MFT Forum.  The challenge is to "get Die-mentional".  I think I got that covered!  Below is a photo of the "die-mention" on my card!

I also finished the inside of the card, using more DP, and of course some dies!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great weekend!

Supplies
Stamps - Sending You a Little Christmas (My Favorite Things)
Paper - Bermuda Bay, Basic Black, Choice Snow White, Bo Bunny Winter Joy
Other - MFT Layered Label Die-namic, MFT Open Scallop Die-namic, MFT Hearts A Plenty Die-namic, Spellbinders Snowflake die, Kaiser Rhinestones, ribbon (Michaels)

It's A St. Patty's Release!

It's Friday!  And, with Friday, comes a Stamp Fairy release!

Meet St. Patrick's Day Herb.  He is just so stinkin' cute!  This card is for my dad, who will be celebrating his birthday on St. Patrick's Day!

To start, I used the Sketch Saturday #143 for my layout.  I printed out Herb onto some Choice Snow White cardstock and colored him with my copics.  All the papers are from my SU Patterns Pack.  The sentiment is from The Cat's Pajamas.

In case you hadn't planned on heading over to the Stamp Fairy Store, here are the rest of the Herb images for you!  Changed your mind?
Have a great Friday!

TE Blog Hop Day!

Good Morning!

ETA - This post was scheduled...but I guess it forgot to post!  So sorry!

Today is the day for the monthly Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past Blog Hop.  I hope you have had a chance to see the other great creations on the hop.  If not, there is a master list at the bottom of this page for you!

The theme for the hop this month is Going Green. I took it from a colour perspective! Mostly because I didn't have any St. Patty's Day stamps to use!

For my card, I used the amazing set, You're My Hero.  I stamped the background image with SU Garden Green and Wild Wasabi ink.  Then I stamped the guy "rockin' out!" with Versafine Onyx Black.  I cut the squares out with nestabilities and used my Martha Stewart Border Punch.  The paper is from another SU Patterns Pack.

The sketch is the Sweet Sketch Wednesday #90.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I can't wait to see all the "Green" creations!

Supplies
Stamps - You're My Hero (Taylored Expressions)
Paper -  Choice Snow White, Basic Black, Garden Green, SU Pattern Pack
Other - Nestabilities, Brads, Martha Stewart Border Punch

Love...

My sister-in-law asked me if I could make her a card for a wedding she will be going to this weekend.  Of course, I obliged!  It just so happens I had planned on getting all the sketches done for the Viva la Verve sketch challenges this month, AND I had some amazing new Verve stamps just waiting to get all inky!

To start, I stamped the "love" sentiment from Text Objects and the heart from Sweet Treats onto some Choice Buttercream cardstock.  I coloured the heart with my copics, then cut it out using the Embossed Oval Die.  I used the "Where there is love, there is life" quotation, also from Text Objects as a background image on the Buttercream square.  The patterned paper is Almost Amethyst designer paper from SU.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I'm off to get all my Viva la Verve entries together!

Supplies
Stamps - Text Objects (Verve), Sweet Treats (Verve)
Paper - Kraft, Choice Buttercream, Almost Amethyst, Almost Amethyst DP
Other - Copics, Nestabilities, Embossed Oval Die (Verve), Brads, Ribbon (MFT)

Sweet Wishes

This week the challenge at Stamp Fairy Challenge Blog, is a colour throwdown of Red, White and Turquoise.  This colour scheme told me CHRISTMAS!

I used Lenny Christmas, and printed him out onto Neenah cardstock.  I coloured him with my copics, and then added some Sugar Sparkly Fluff to his shirt and hat.

The sketch is this week's Mojo Monday Sketch #179. I couldn't decide where I wanted the sentiment, so instead, I just left it out!  (Hope that's ok for the sketch!)

All the DP is from an SU Patterns Pack, and the ribbon is actually from a gift....so I have no idea where it came from!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Supplies
Stamps - Lenny Christmas (Stamp Fairy)
Paper - Tempting Turquoise, Neenah, SU Patterns Pack
Other - Nestabilities, Cutlebug Swirls Folder, Copics, Sugar Sparkly Fluff, MFT Open Scallop Die-namic, Ribbon, Brads

SFYTT on a Monday!

Good Morning!  Today is a holiday up here in the north, Family Day.  A day to relax and spend with the ones you love.  I'll be doing just that, other than a trip to the gym!

Today my card is for Jen's SFYTT for February.  I don't have my stamps yet from Anita Be Stampin (I'm hoping they're in the mailbox this week!), but I couldn't wait any longer to play!

For this card, which is one my most favourite of those I have created, I used the Buckets of Love set from There She Goes.  I just ADORE this stamp set, and I have another card in mind for this sketch!

I started by stamping the image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White cardstock, and then colouring it in with copics.  I added some shading and then used some Smooch Illuminate to give the hearts some sparkle!  The paper is all from the Echo Park Be Mine collection.  For some details, I used my MFT Open Scallop Die-namic, and added some brads from SU.

That's it for me today.  Enjoy your day!

Supplies
Stamps - Buckets of Love (There She Goes)
Paper - Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Choice Snow White, Echo Park Be Mine
Other - Copics, Nestabilities, Smooch Illuminate, Brads, MFT Open Scallop Die-namic

Some Verve-y Goodness!

I am LOVIN' the weekly Viva la Verve sketches by all the divas!  They are incredible, and it gets me to make sure I use all those amazing stamps!

I used the adorable new set, To The Moon for this card. My cousin and his wife had a sweet little baby girl in January, and this is the card I made for the shower we went to.

I stamped the giraffe and elephant onto Choice Buttercream cardstock, then coloured them with copics.  I used papers from My Mind's Eye Tickled Pink collection.  I also used the Classy Label Die.  (have I mentioned how much I LOVE these Verve DIes?  I DO!)

To finish off the card, I did a little sewing, then used MFT Button Quartet Die-namic with the DP and tied them with some Jillibean Soup thread.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Supplies
Stamps - To The Moon (Verve)
Paper - Kraft, Melon Mambo, Regal Rose, Choice Buttercream, My Mind's Eye Tickled Pink

Ah, the weekend!

Happy Saturday!  What a fantastic few days we have had.....snow is mostly gone, and the sun has been shining.  Maybe spring is getting close!  But if the forecast is right, I think we are getting dealt some more winter!

Every week, Lori, of By Lori Designs, has an amazing colour challenge!  This week, the colours were just to delicious to pass up!
I started by using Puddle Jumpers, Harper and Kyle.  I can't even begin to tell you how much I LOVE Lori's images.....ALL OF THEM!  I created this image in Photoshop CS, printed them out, then coloured them in with my copics.  I used my Copic Multiliner to create the grass.

It took me FOREVER to find some DP that would actually work with this colour combo, but I managed to find this one from Basic Grey Green at Heart.

Since I used my faithful Kraft cardstock, this also works for Jeanie's That's Krafty Thursday #47!  She challenged us to get more than 38 submissions for this one, so I'll just keep pulling out that Kraft!

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies
Stamps - Puddle Jumper Harper (By Lori Designs), Puddle Jumper Kyle (By Lori Designs)
Paper - Kraft, Pink Pirouette, Early Espresso, Basic Grey Green at Heart
Other - Copics, Nestabilities, Brads (SU!), Ribbon (SU!)

This week, the MFT Sketch crew brought out another awesome sketch!  This is such a versatile sketch!

I actually had this Miss You A Latte a la mode stamped out for a different card, but hadn't gotten around to making it.  I just LOVE these a la modes from MFT.  They are so adorable!  I stamped her onto SU Very Vanilla cardstock, and colored her in with my copics.  The paper used is Cosmo Cricket Earth Love.

That is it for today!  Thanks for stopping by!

Another Snowy Day...

Good Saturday morning!  It's snowing again here, and cold and blowy....so to fit the weather, I have a Christmas card!

I created this card based on the sketch for Viva la Verve, week 2 for February.  I know, I am a little behind, but I actually have two of the three sketches completed now!

This is a set from Verve I picked up a while ago, and it hasn't seen ink!  Thanks to Jessie's Forgotten Stamp Friday challenge, I am starting to get some of these neglected beauties the lovin' they deserve!  This set is Merry Wishes.  The tag was cut out using the Sweet Scallop Die.  I paired it with some SU Ski Slope DP.

That is it for me today!  Thanks for stopping by!

I'm Late, I'm Late...

for another BLD Challenge!

I had this card finished and was ready to upload it yesterday for the BLD Challenge #3, but my internet was down, making me wait until today to post!

This cute little thing is Lollipop Annie, one of Lori's newer images.  I printed her out onto SU Whisper White cardstock, and coloured her in with my copics.  Then I cut her out with my nestabilities and pierced around the edges.  The paper is from Basic Grey's Bittersweet line (it was sitting out for my DD's class valentines, and I realized the colours work!)  I cut out the sentiment, attached it, and added some of the stickers from the pack.

One bonus of posting late, is now this card works for Jeannie's That's Krafty Thursday #47!  YEAH!

Well, that's it for today!  Back to work on those Valentines for my DD!

Supplies
Stamps - Lollipop Annie (By Lori Designs)
Paper - Kraft, Whisper White, Purely Pomegranate, Basic Grey Bittersweet

Woohoo PACKERS!

Well, first off....YEAH PACKERS!  What an incredible game!  Super Bowl XLV Champs!

I am totally LOVIN' these Viva la Verve sketches!  They are so amazing, and the samples the DT creates are so stunning.  I finally got to play with some of my newest Verve stamps:

I used my new Sweet Treats set, as well as the Classy Label and Embossed Oval dies.  The DP is Cosmo Cricket Everafter.  I am loving the look of this card, however, the picture makes the orange in the label look way different from the orange in the DP!  Oh well!

Sorry for the quick post....supper won't make itself!

Have a great afternoon!

Supplies
Stamps - Sweet Treats (Verve Stamps)
Paper - Very Vanilla, Tangerine Tango, Basic Grey, Cosmo Cricket Everafter

Cute as a Bug...

a lady bug, that is!

It is already Thursday....I can't believe how quickly these weeks are flying by!

Today, I have a cute little Stamp Fairy image:

I used Lenny Ladybug as my feature for this card.  I wanted they layout to be super simple, so that he would really stand out!  I began with the latest SCS sketch, but I think I have added too much to it now to really be considered part of that sketch!

Lenny was printed on SU Whisper White cardstock, and colored with copics.  I added some shading, then cut him out with my circle nestabilities.  I used some SU Real Red DP, along with some Kraft and Black cardstock.  I then added a die-cut flower and button, which works with this week's Stamp Fairy Challenge, using handmade flowers!

That's it for today! Enjoy!

Supplies
Stamps - Lenny Ladybug (Stamp Fairy)
Paper - Kraft, Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red, Real Red DP, Making Memories Black & White
Other - Copics, Nestabilities, MFT Die-namics, brads, sewing machine

Happy Birthday Little Man!

Yesterday, my little guy turned two!  It is amazing how quickly time flies!

This card is based on the sketch from Mojo Monday #176.  I wasn't sure what I was going to come up with!  This one definitely threw me!  I also used my fave, Kraft, making it a card fitting Jeannie's That's Krafty Thursday #46 challenge!

The paper used in this card is from the Echo Park Little Boy line.  It's such a CUTE line for the perfect boy cards!

The stars are all cut out using MFT's Stacking Stars Die-namic, and the label is MFT's Layered Label Die-namic!

Well, that's a quick post for me!

Have a great day!

Make Mine a Double!

I absolutely LOVE these Pure Innocence images from My Favorite Things.  I can't believe I didn't find them sooner!

This is my creation for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge, which is now a weekly sketch challenge!  Sadly, I don't have the Decorative Doily Die-namic just yet, and it is currently sold out, so my order will just have to sit in the cart waiting, waiting, until it returns!  It appears as though it will be back in stock on Friday....so my wait may not be long!

But back to the card - I used Make Mine a Double, stamping her onto SU Whisper White cardstock and coloring her with copics.  I cut her out with my circle nestabilities, and mounted her onto a piece of Basic Grey Lemonade that was cut out with my blossom nestabilities.  Then I added some Regal Rose ribbon, and cut out the sentiment!

Thanks for stopping by!  We are supposed to be getting nailed with a snow storm today and tomorrow, so maybe I'll be getting lots of stamping time!

Supplies
Stamps - Make Mine a Double (My Favorite Things)
Paper - Whisper White, Regal Rose, Purely Pomegranate, Basic Grey Lemonade
Other - Copics, Nestabilities, Ribbon
