Releast Day!

Good Morning!  It's Friday again, and we are now only a day away from October!  Where has September gone?

It's release day as well at Stamp Fairy!

This little guy is one of the Christmas Kids.  You can see all the images HERE!  I decided to go with a clean and simple layout on this one, partially because I couldn't really decide how I wanted the layout to look!

I used paper from the Dashing collection, an old paper pack from Stampin Up!

Short and sweet today....have a good one!

Sunday Christmas Card....on Monday!

Good Morning!  What a great weekend!  We were lucky enough to have fabulous weather, and the kids could play outside in the sunshine both days.  I am definitely making sure we take advantage of these days, as they aren't likely to last much longer!

Since we were outside enjoying the weather, I completely forgot to get my Christmas Card Challenges post scheduled!

This week, the challenge was to use handmade flowers.

I started by using this awesome Viva La Verve Sketch, for September Week 3.  The papers are, again, all from the Crate Paper Snow Day collection.  The stamps are all part of the Merry Wishes set, from Verve Stamps.

My handmade flower was created using the Snow Day paper, and the Floral Circles dies, from Verve.

Thanks for stopping by!  Make sure you head over to the Christmas Card Challenge Blog to check out all the great handmade flowers!

Release Day Friday!

Good Morning! This week has just flown by again! DD is off from school today, so here's to hoping we can all have a great day baking and cleaning!

This week, Stamp Fairy has an adorable new release....and it's SO VERSATILE!

This is Barry Bedtime, and there are so many different cards he can be used for!  I went with a baby card for mine....I seem to be in baby cad mode lately!

I printed Barry out, and colored him in with my copics.  He was cut out using my new Wonky Rectangles die.  The papers are all from the MME Lime Twist Out of the Blue collection.

TE Blast From The Past

Good Morning!

I can't believe we are almost through September...it seems like school just started!  The fall weather has certainly arrived, and we even had to break down and turn on the furnace!  I do LOVE fall, but I don't think I was completely ready to say good-bye to summer!

All chit-chat aside, today is Taylored Expressions' monthly Blast from the Past Blog Hop!  Our challenge was to use a "birth-day" or birthday theme for our cards!  Last month I created a baby card for a little girl, so I decided to get one made for a little boy this month.  You can never have too many baby cards on hand!

I used Sankari's awesome sketch for my card.  I started by stamping the onesie from Hangin' Out onto a piece of DP from the My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Out of the Blue collection.  I then cut it out, and mounted it on a circle of Kraft cardstock.  The sentiment is also from the Hangin' Out set.

I hope you take a few minutes today to check out the WHOLE blog hop!  There are always such amazing cards on the TE Blog Hops!

Below is a list of all the hoppers today, so make sure you check them out!

Have a great day!

Christmas Card Challenges - Week 42

Good Morning!  We are certainly finished with summer here!  The mornings are awfully chilly, and I think it is time to turn on the furnace!

With the weather starting to turn, it definitely is nice to know that I have a HUGE stack of Christmas cards already made....making me able to enjoy the season! (instead of rushing to finish Christmas cards!)

This week, the challenge at Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenges was a sketch!

I used this gorgeous sleigh, from Taylored Expressions Sparkle & Cheer set.  I used a Basic Black and Rich Razzleberry markers, then stamped it onto SU Very Vanilla cs.  I cut it out with my oval nestabilities.

The papers are from the Crate Paper Snow Day collection.  As embellishments, I added some buttons from my stash, and a die-cut snowflake.

Thanks for stopping by!

More Spooky Treats!

Sorry, this post is so late!  I have been so busy today, this is the first I have sat down!

This is the latest Stamp Fairy release!  More Halloween images!  This little guy is just too cute in his costume!

I started by using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #134.  I LOVE how this sketch turned out!

My little costume clad cutie was printed on SU Whisper White cs, then coloured with my copics.  I cut him out using my rectangle nestabilities, then, while it was still in the die, I drew a frame around the edges.

The paper is Poppy Parade, which came from an In Colours prints pack.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great weekend!

Vintage Christmas

Good Morning!  I hope ya'll are enjoying a great weekend!  We have been lucky enough to get some sweet summer weather, which is so nice!   Even more so when we know those weekends won't last much longer!

This week, Sparkle challenged us to make a vintage Christmas card.  This is what I came up with!

I started by using Magical Santa, from Whipper Snapper Stamps.  This image just seems to have that vintage feel to me!  I stamped the image out onto SU Very Vanilla cs, then coloured it in with my copics.  I added a bit of shading, then ripped out the image.

The layout for this card is Jen's September Sketch for You to Try.  I love how simple this sketch can be, but how awesome it looks!

The paper is Dashing, from SU.  The sentiment, Four the Holidays, was stamped onto some vellum, then mounted with a button.

Hope you have a great day!  Make sure you hop over to the Christmas Card Challenge Blog to check out all the great creations!

supplies
stamps - magical santa (whipper snapper), four the holidays (stampin up!)

TESC 146

Hi again!

A few months ago, I submitted a card for the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge Crew.  Unfortunately, I wasn't chosen to be a part of the Sketch Crew, but I was asked to be a Guest Designer for an upcoming sketch!  Today is the day!

I was so excited to be able to be a part of the TE Sketch Crew, even if only for one week!  Thanks so much Taylor for the opportunity!

Here is this week's sketch:

And here is what I came up with:

I used my newest TE stamp set, Green Acres for my card.  I stamped the tractor three times, and coloured it in with my copics.  I decided to have the middle square be my standout, and made it a little larger than the other two.

The papers are from Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety.  I added some Linen Thread as my ribbon, since I'll likely use this card for a guy!

I've also used my favourite Kraft cardstock, so this will work perfectly with Jeannie's That's Krafty Thursday #54.

That is all for today!  Hopefully you all have a great weekend!  I'll be watching FOOTBALL!

supplies
stamps - green acres (taylored expressions)
paper - kraft, basic black, very vanilla, cosmo cricket garden variety
other - copics, nestabilities, linen thread

IT's Friday, again!

Good Morning!

I hope you have all enjoyed a great week.  We have started settling into our fall routine, which is nice!  DD is enjoying school, so it certainly makes the morning easier!

Today is release day at Stamp Fairy!

This little cutie is part of the new Birthday Kids collection.  I started by printing her out onto SU Whisper White cs, then colouring her in with my copics.  Again, since I never managed to put the Echo Park Summer Days collection away, it was used again!

The sketch is Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #18.  I'll definitely be using this sketch again...so simple, but so perfect!

That is it today!  Off to get the little ones ready for the day!

supplies
stamps - birthday kids (stamp fairy)
paper - whisper white, melon mambo, echo park summer days
other - nestabilities, copics, little open scallop die-namic (mft)

Happy Birthday!

Good Morning!  I have a few minutes (hopefully) before my kiddos get out of bed, so I thought I would get this post up.  My DD starts school this morning, so we can get back to our routine.  Today may be a bit scattered, but we'll get there!

As you can tell, I still had my Echo Park Summer Days paper sitting on my desk, so I went with it!  I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #133 as my inspiration for this card.

This is Barry Balloons, one of the new characters from Stamp Fairy.  He is my absolute favourite!  I started by printing him out onto SU Whisper White cs, then colouring him in with my copics.  I added a couple of coats of Clear Glaze to give the balloons some shine.  The sentiment is from Birthday Bunny, from The Cat's Pajamas.

The border was cut out using my Clouds Cut-Up (which is currently out of stock) die, from The Cat's Pajamas.

Well, that is it for today.  I best get to making some lunches, so we are scrambling to get out of the door!  Hopefully, I'll have some crafty time this afternoon!

Have a great day!

supplies
stamps - barry balloons (stamp fairy), birthday bunny (the cat's pajamas)

The More Candles...

the bigger the wish!

Good Monday Morning! (or Holiday Monday Morning!) It is a cool and cloudy day here, and I doubt the forecast is calling for much sunshine, so today will be a day spent inside, baking and canning.

I found this card that I had made AGES ago, and had never gotten around to posting.

This is from the TCP Tuesday #160 (see, I told you it was a while ago!).  I stamped my favourite little bunny, from Forget About the Cake, onto SU Whisper White, then coloured it in with copics.  I paper pieced the icing on the cake, using some of the DP from MME Stella & Rose Hazel.

The sentiment is from A Girl and Her Cake, which fits perfectly with this set too!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I'm off to the grocery store, to pick up some needed supplies!

supplies
stamps - forget about the cake (tcp), a girl and her cake (tcp)
paper - kraft, whisper white, soft sky, mme stella & rose hazel
other - brads, copics, nestabilities

Christmas Card Challenge - Week 40

Good Morning!  The heat wave seems to be gone, the cooler temperatures feel so much nicer right now!  It's too bad I didn't have them yesterday while canning peaches...man that kitchen was HOT!!

Today's challenge at Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenges is a colour challenge – brown, cream and cranberry

I decided to pull out one of my Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps, Sledding Chloe for this card.  I stamped her onto SU Very Vanilla cs, then coloured it in with my copics.  I used Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #17 for my layout, and actually didn't use any DP!

To finish the card off, I added some baker's twine, and a button from my stash!

Thanks for stopping by today!

supplies
stamps - sledding chloe (sparkle creations rubber stamps), four the holidays (su!)
paper - cherry cobbler, very vanilla, chocolate chip
other - copics, nestabilities, baker's twine, button

TE 145

Good Morning!  Hope you are all having a great start to your weekend!  (it's a LONG one here in Canada, so that makes it even better!)  We've also been getting a little late summer heat wave, so the temperature is just lovely too!

I managed to get this card made for Taylored Expressions' Sketch #145 between batches of salsa yesterday!  Canning seems to be taking up most of my time lately, so I'm not getting as much crafty time as I would like!

I used the first set I ever bought from Taylored Expressions, Sprinkled with Love.  I stamped the ice cream cone twice on SU Whisper White cs, then coloured it with my copics.  I cut the ice cream out, and mounted it with SU dimensionals for a little depth!

The paper is all from the Echo Park Summer Days collection, which is quite fitting, considering the weather we are having!

I finished it off with the sentiment from In The Park, adding a button from my stash, and tying it with some Scrapper's Floss.

Have a great day!

supplies
stamps - in the park (taylored expressions), sprinkled with love (taylored expressions)
paper - whisper white, echo park summer days

Friday!

Good Morning!  With another Friday, brings another release from Stamp Fairy.  This week, there are more Halloween images for you!

This is Barry, and his spooky costumes.  You can see more of Barry's dress ups HERE.  I stamped Barry out onto SU Whisper White cs, then colored him with my copics.  He was then cut out with my rectangle nestabilities.  The sentiment was also printed (on the same paper!), colored, then cut out as well.

I used papers from my SU In Color Patterns Pack, and also some Tangerine Tango DSP.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Make sure you hop over to the Stamp Fairy Blog to see all the other spooky creations!

Have a great day!
